Fewer than 15 consultants in the world have been awarded both the Certified
Management Consultant (CMC) and the Certified Computing Professional (CCP)
designations. Of these, only Brooks Hilliard is an actively practicing expert witness.
ICMCI and IMC-USA set strict requirements for the certification, ensuring that
every CMC has met strict class standards for competence, ethics and independence.
The IMC-USA Code of Ethics covers issues relating to clients, engagements, fee
agreements and professional conduct.
In addition to holding the CMC certification, Brooks Hilliard serves as Chairman of
the IMC-USA Ethics committee and is a former member of the national Board of
Directors of the IMC-USA.
Certified Computing Professional (CCP)
The Certified Computing Professional designation is awarded by the Institute for the Certification of Computer
Professionals (ICCP), an international certifying authority sponsored by
twenty-five domestic and international computer professional associations. The
CCP is the computer industry's only independent professional certification that not
affiliated with any computer company. The ICCP's Code of Ethics and Code of
Conduct and Good Practice covers client relationships, professional conduct,
conflicts of interest, competence and other ethical issues.
Every CCP awardee had passed a strict set of independently-monitored proficiency
exams covering computer technology in general and their specific areas of
competence competence. Mr. Hilliard's proficiency examinations covered Core
Information Technology Skills and Knowledge, Business Information Systems and
Office Information Systems.
Qualification process for CMC and CCP certification
To achieve the CMC and CCP certifications, Mr. Hilliard has undergone the
following procedures:

competency tests, and
oral interviews.
